Primero Games acquires Win Systems Gaming Division

The deal adds Win Systems’ slots, Gold Club electronic roulettes and more than 3,000 installed gaming positions to Primero’s portfolio

Primero Games gains an established route into Latin America and the Caribbean, while Win Systems will concentrate on its remaining businesses, including casino management technology.

The US-based supplier has acquired the Gaming Division of Win Systems, known as WSG. The transaction includes its slot products, Gold Club electronic roulette business, manufacturing operations and regional customer relationships.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Primero adds more than 3,000 gaming positions

WSG has an installed base of more than 3,000 gaming positions across Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Panama. It also supplies customers in other international markets.

The acquisition gives Primero access to WSG’s established products, manufacturing capabilities and local operating experience. Existing WSG teams and infrastructure will continue supporting customers across the region.

Primero said it plans to invest in the acquired business and introduce additional games, platform technology and development resources. Both companies have emphasised continuity for existing products and customers during the transition.

Eric Benchimol, CEO of Win Systems

“This combination makes both businesses stronger. Pairing our installed base, manufacturing operations and market knowledge with Primero’s game library and development engine means we can bring more and better products to our customers faster than either company could alone.

“The team is energised, and we are looking forward to getting to work as part of Primero.”

Gold Club joins Primero’s product portfolio

The acquired assets include Win Systems’ slot operations and Gold Club electronic roulettes. These products will complement Primero’s existing land-based and digital gaming portfolio.

Primero develops game content, cabinets, redemption kiosks and online gaming products. The company says it has produced more than 100 original titles, supported by development teams in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Its technology includes the Hurricane platform, which supports offline and online deployment, as well as single-game and multigame applications.

The Spark server-based gaming system extends Hurricane with business intelligence tools, linked and wide-area progressive jackpots, content subscriptions and player retention features.

Mike Macke, Chairman of Primero Games

“This is an important step forward in executing Primero’s growth strategy to build a diversified global gaming company.

“By combining Primero’s content and development expertise with WSG’s products, operations and customer relationships, we can deliver more products, more content and greater value to customers across a wider range of gaming markets.”

Win Systems retains its casino systems business

The transaction concerns the Gaming Division and does not represent the sale of Win Systems in its entirety.

Following the deal, Win Systems will continue operating its remaining businesses and pursuing other strategic opportunities. Its activities include the development and supply of casino management technology.

The company’s WIGOS casino management system connects gaming machines and provides operators with tools covering accounting, player management, loyalty, security and operational control.

Dario Zutel, Executive Chairman of Win Systems

“This transaction marks an exciting new chapter for our Gaming Division.

“We are confident that Primero Games is the right partner to build on what we have achieved and drive the business into its next stage of international growth.”

The announcement said Primero was welcoming Benchimol, Zutel and the WSG team. It did not provide details of their future positions within Primero or disclose a timetable for integrating the acquired operation.
