Circa, the D and Golden Gate attract over 50,000 Canadian visitors with CAD$1-to-US$1 casino, hotel and beverage offer
Downtown Las Vegas has reported a significant rise in Canadian visitation after Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino extended their popular At Par program, a currency parity promotion that treats CAD$1 as equal to US$1 across selected casino, hotel, beverage and entertainment offers.
Within three months of launch, the promotion has attracted more than 50,000 Canadian visitors to the three downtown casino properties. The campaign has also generated more than 5,100 hotel room bookings and over US$10 million in slot play, underlining the strength of Canadian travel demand for value-driven Las Vegas experiences.
The At Par program will continue through August 31 and applies to select gaming, hotel, beverage and entertainment options. Canadian guests do not need to be hotel guests to participate in eligible gaming, beverage or entertainment offers, making the promotion accessible to a wider group of visitors travelling to downtown Las Vegas.
Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, the D and Golden Gate, said: “Canadians have always played a meaningful role in downtown Las Vegas, and we’re incredibly appreciative of the loyalty they continue to show our city. The response to our At Par program has been tremendous and we look forward to creating more exciting moments for our guests from the Great White North.”
Under the At Par structure, eligible Canadian guests receive US$1 in value for every CAD$1 spent, regardless of daily exchange rates. The initiative is designed to reduce one of the key financial barriers affecting Canadian leisure travel to the United States, allowing visitors to access selected gaming, accommodation, beverage and entertainment products without the impact of currency conversion.
For casino gaming, Canadian guests can redeem up to $500 CAD in slot promotional play, treated at full U.S. dollar value. To access the offer, guests must visit Club One at Circa, the D or Golden Gate and present a valid Canadian passport or government-issued identification. Slot promotional play is available on participating machines at each property, subject to standard exclusions.
The hotel component allows Canadian guests staying at the three properties to receive the At Par rate at check-in. The amount shown in U.S. dollars is charged directly in Canadian dollars, with no exchange rate applied. Canadian citizenship must be verified through a valid passport or government-issued ID.
The beverage element of the promotion extends to selected venues across the downtown Las Vegas properties, including BarCanada at the D Las Vegas, Overhang at Circa and Bar Prohibition! at Golden Gate. Eligible Canadian guests can redeem At Par beverage pricing multiple times per visit after identification has been verified.
The summer campaign also includes a series of Canada-focused entertainment activations linked to the Fremont Street Experience. Canadian DJ Tiga, from Montreal, will perform on the Main Street Stage on May 15, bringing his electronic music style to downtown Las Vegas as part of the promotional period.
Canadian rock band Finger Eleven will also perform on June 27 as part of the Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series at Fremont Street Experience. The multi-platinum group is known internationally for tracks including “Paralyzer” and “One Thing”, and its appearance is expected to add further appeal for Canadian visitors.
On the same day, Finger Eleven will make an appearance at BarCanada at the D Las Vegas at 10:45 p.m. Thirty invited guests will be selected through a social media giveaway for an exclusive meet and greet, with further details scheduled to be posted on the D’s social media pages.
BarCanada will also feature Finger Eleven-themed cocktails and Canadian beer throughout June 27. The drinks menu will include themed serves such as Tequila Turns Electric, Gin vs. You vs Me, and Canadian beers including Molson, Labatt Blue, Unibroue La Fin du Monde and Moosehead.
The At Par program reinforces downtown Las Vegas’ focus on attracting Canadian travellers through targeted, value-led promotions. By combining casino incentives, hotel pricing, beverage offers and Canadian entertainment programming, Circa, the D and Golden Gate are positioning the campaign as both a travel driver and a hospitality initiative for one of Las Vegas’ most important international visitor groups.
