The partnership connects education and self-assessment with mental health services, peer groups, coaching and licensed counselling
FanDuel is extending player protection beyond account controls by connecting customers with specialist behavioural health support when further help may be needed.
The Flutter Entertainment brand has worked with Kindbridge Behavioral Health since March 2024. Their partnership covers gambling education, early intervention, mental health assessment and access to professional treatment.
Prevention and early intervention
Kindbridge is an online mental health provider specialising in problem gambling, digital dependency and related behavioural health concerns.
The organisation offers several levels of assistance rather than placing every client directly into individual therapy. Its services include guided self-care, educational courses, peer support groups, motivational coaching and structured treatment with licensed professionals.
FanDuel said the partnership reflects the connection that can exist between mental health and gambling, particularly among younger men. The two organisations also aim to help customers understand their finances, recognise spending patterns and avoid gambling with money they cannot afford to lose.
Cory Fox, Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Sustainability at FanDuel
“FanDuel is continually investing in education, research and partnerships because we believe in meeting our customers where they are and providing resources that work for them.
“We understand that mental health and gambling can be closely connected, particularly among young men, so expanding access to behavioural health resources was a priority. Kindbridge stood out for its focus on gambling disorder and its commitment to making treatment more accessible.”
Daniel Umfleet, Founder and CEO of Kindbridge Behavioral Health
“We both want to help people maintain a healthy balance. That includes understanding finances, recognising spending patterns and making sure people are not gambling with money they do not have.”
More than 6,000 customers complete survey
The partnership has expanded since its initial launch in New Jersey and Ohio, where self-excluded FanDuel customers were offered mental health assessments and group support services.
In March 2026, more than 6,000 FanDuel customers completed a voluntary Kindbridge survey intended to help them consider their relationship with gambling and its connection to mental health.
FanDuel also offers a complimentary mental health assessment at the point of self-exclusion. Through Kindbridge, eligible customers may access educational courses, peer support, coaching and counselling with a licensed therapist.
The clinical resources complement FanDuel’s platform controls, which include deposit, wager and loss limits, spending information and activity statements.
Support also extends beyond customers
FanDuel and Kindbridge have collaborated on employee education, financial wellness projects and community initiatives.
The companies believe cooperation between gambling operators and behavioural health specialists can widen access to support while making conversations about gambling and mental health more routine.
Daniel Umfleet, Founder and CEO of Kindbridge Behavioral Health
“FanDuel does not limit itself to what is happening directly on the platform. It participates in broader, community-oriented conversations. That is a differentiator.
“When a company is as proactive as FanDuel, it sends an important message to regulators and legislators. Together, we are continuously raising the standard.”
FanDuel responsible gaming ambassador Craig Carton has also discussed the partnership with Umfleet through The Comeback, a video series focused on problem gambling, recovery and available support.
