TVC deals a new AV experience at Genting Casino Manchester

The venue-wide installation includes an 11.25m² entrance display, 4K professional screens, digital signage and networked content distribution

TVC Technology Solutions has completed a major audiovisual upgrade at Genting Casino Manchester, introducing new displays and a flexible content distribution system across the property.

The integrated installation extends from the casino’s Portland Street entrance to its gaming floor, bar, Mahjong area, mezzanine and meeting room.

Genting commissioned the project to create a more consistent and engaging visual experience while simplifying the management of live television, sport, promotions and digital signage.

Compatible equipment already operating at the casino was relocated and reused where practical to control costs and reduce unnecessary replacement.

Curved LED wall transforms casino entrance

The centrepiece is a bespoke curved LED wall measuring 4.5 metres wide and 2.5 metres high, providing a total display area of 11.25m².

Its 3.9mm pixel pitch supports detailed promotional imagery, while its anti-vandal and IP-rated construction provides additional protection in the public-facing entrance.

TVC worked with Peerless-AV to create a customised SEAMLESS Connect mounting structure aligned with the precise cabinet arrangement and curvature of the screen.

The modular aluminium system includes adjustments across the X, Y and Z axes, allowing engineers to position each LED cabinet accurately, compensate for variations in the supporting wall and minimise visible gaps.

Content is processed through a NovaStar VX400 controller. Warm-white architectural LED lighting around the canopy fins, ceiling, rear display area and windows frames the screen and increases its visual prominence.

Professional displays installed throughout venue

TVC installed 12 Iiyama ProLite professional displays ranging from 43 to 98 inches. Each provides 4K Ultra HD resolution and is rated for continuous commercial operation.

Brightness levels of 500cd/m² or 800cd/m² were selected according to the location and viewing conditions.

Two 55-inch portrait displays near reception deliver customer information and digital signage, while a nearby 75-inch screen uses an elevated sightline.

An 86-inch screen was added to the Mahjong area, and two 75-inch displays now occupy the brick feature wall in the bar. A 43-inch portrait screen was installed on an upstairs pillar, with a 65-inch display incorporated into the mezzanine lightbox.

The meeting room received a 98-inch central display supported by two 50-inch screens for presentations, meetings and collaborative content.

TVC also updated, moved and repurposed another 10 existing screens around the casino.

NetworkHD provides flexible content distribution

A WyreStorm NetworkHD AV-over-IP platform connects the new displays with Genting Casino Manchester’s existing audiovisual infrastructure.

NetworkHD decoders at the new display positions distribute 4K content across the venue’s IP network. Existing receivers were reused and relocated where suitable.

The architecture allows the casino to send different content to individual screens and areas while managing the system centrally and reducing the operational demands placed on staff.

Andy Greaves, Divisional Sales Director at TVC Technology Solutions

“Genting Casino Manchester was a great project because it combined a striking visual transformation with the practical demands of a busy entertainment venue.

“The curved LED wall gives the entrance real impact, while the combination of new Iiyama displays and WyreStorm AV-over-IP gives the venue the flexibility to deliver different content across the casino.”

The installation expands TVC Technology Solutions’ portfolio of audiovisual projects across the UK gaming, leisure, hospitality and entertainment sectors.
