The Casino Awards for the British & European casino industry
Ryder: “From 2021 onwards, the awards will recognise both British and European companies”
The Casino Awards, the next stage in the evolution of the popular awards platform for the gaming industry, formerly known as The British Casino Awards, will be celebrated in London on Tuesday 20 April 2021, and are sponsored by NOVOMATIC, INTERBLOCK and TCSJOHNHUXLEY.
Since its launch in 2018, the awards scheme ‘with a difference’ has become a key date on the calendar of professionals, providing an unrivalled evening of celebration and networking for the industry’s very best.
As a result of increasing industry enthusiasm and feedback, the scheme is widening its scope to honour operators and manufacturers from across the continent. Event director Paul Ryder comments: “In order for us to continue to offer a leading awards scheme that effectively raises the profile and visibility of the industry, it’s essential for us to continually adapt and develop to represent all corners of the market and naturally, the next step is to expand the area that it serves. We are delighted that from 2021 onwards, the awards will recognise both British and European companies.”
Entries are now open for the 2021 iteration of The Casino Awards and is completely free of charge. From Friday 21 August to Friday 18 December, outstanding manufacturers and operators operating in the British & European casino industry will be invited to submit an entry in The Casino Awards.
With a variety of expertly curated categories up for contention, companies will be able to identify their prime opportunities to shine and will be given the opportunity to provide supporting information for each submission to support their entry(s). Nominations are also highly encouraged, so professionals from across the gaming sector are also invited to put forward an entry on behalf of their industry peers.
Decision-Making: 11 January – 19 February 2021
Subject to meeting the necessary criteria, entries and nominations will proceed to the decision-making stage. Each submission will be subject to one of two rigorous decision-making processes, as detailed below:
A) Industry Vote & Judging Panel
All ‘Operator’ and ‘Product’ categories will initially face an online vote, where professionals will be invited to make their voices heard to determine a shortlist in each category. These shortlists will then be reviewed by a panel of independent industry experts, who will decide upon the ultimate winner in each category.
B) Judging Panel Only
A number of categories will proceed directly to the judging panel, who will critique each entry/nomination against a strict set of criteria to determine a shortlist and winner.
The Ceremony – Tuesday 20 April 2021
The gaming industry’s elite will once again gather in the heart of London on Tuesday 20 April 2021 for an unforgettable evening of celebration, as a new wave of incredible operators, manufacturers and professionals are crowned at The Casino Awards.
As well as being a platform to recognise and reward the hard work, passion and innovation of the gaming industry, the ceremony serves as an unrivalled opportunity to network with the industry’s very best.
