Blaz’n Buffalo Reel Crash uses the studio’s Reel Overlay engine to combine video slot play with crash-game tension
Ready Play Gaming has launched Blaz’n Buffalo Reel Crash, its first Slot/Crash hybrid and the debut title in its new Reel Crash format.
The game combines a video slot with a crash overlay, using the studio’s proprietary Reel Overlay mechanics to bring crash-style gameplay into a slot environment.
The launch targets high-growth markets across Latin America, Africa and South Africa, extending Ready Play Gaming’s international footprint at a time when operators are looking beyond traditional slot libraries.
Blaz’n Buffalo Reel Crash places a crash overlay on top of a video slot. The slot spins continuously beneath the crash round, while winning spins add stars to the crash overlay box as the plane climbs.
Players decide when to cash out before the plane crashes. If they cash out early, a follow-on feature reveals how the round would have played out if they had stayed in.

The video slot provides the engine. The crash overlay adds tension. Ready Play Gaming says the format is designed to extend player session length without increasing volatility.
For operators, the commercial logic is clear. Blaz’n Buffalo Reel Crash pairs short crash rounds with slot reel rewards, creating a product intended to strengthen engagement and build a route into a new content category for existing slot players.
The studio said the game is designed to support operator lifetime value by improving time on game, offering intuitive mechanics and giving players a familiar entry point into crash-style content.

Christoph R. Härtel, Chief Operating Officer at Ready Play Gaming
“Blaz’n Buffalo Reel Crash is designed to keep players engaged for longer, not to burn through a session in seconds. By building a crash overlay on top of a full video slot, we extend the natural player game session and lift the player experience in one move.
“Just as importantly, we give operators a natural pathway to upsell players into an entirely new category of content, without asking them to change how they play. For markets across Latin America, Africa and South Africa, that combination is exactly what platform partners are looking for.”
The launch reflects a wider product trend in iGaming. Platform networks are increasingly diversifying beyond conventional, high-volatility slot portfolios and looking for content that combines retention, simple mechanics and a broader demographic fit.
Crash games have grown quickly in many emerging and mobile-first markets, but their fast pace can shorten sessions. Ready Play Gaming’s hybrid model aims to keep the tension of crash play while anchoring it in a slot format that players already understand.
For Latin America and Africa, that positioning matters. Operators in these markets often need content that is fast to learn, works well on mobile, and can appeal to both slot players and users already familiar with crash-style games.
Ready Play Gaming is headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa. The studio draws on more than 20 years of game development and industry experience and specialises in gamified slot content.
Its proprietary library includes more than 120 exclusive slots optimised for modern retention metrics. The studio’s feature set includes Reel Bingo, Reel Crash and Super Reels, with mathematical frameworks built from real-time behavioural data.
Ready Play Gaming content is certified by iTech Labs and distributed through partnerships including its integration with the SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator network.
With Blaz’n Buffalo Reel Crash, the studio is trying to define a new product space between slots and crash gaming. For operators, the appeal is a familiar slot base with a new layer of urgency. For players, it offers a choice-driven round without leaving the reel-based experience.
