Featuring Keynote Presentations at tradeshow fully compliant with CDC
The Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention from July 19-22 has arrived at the all NEW CAESARS FORUM Convention Center (located next to Harrah’s Hotel & Casino and near the iconic Observation/Ferris Wheel on the Las Vegas strip).
There is no better place to gain access to the perspectives, strategies and tactics needed to succeed than direct from tribal leaders and industry experts, featuring during the show the hugely important keynote presentations below!
The National Indian Gaming Association is correcting previous reports addressing mask requirements for attendees at the 2021 Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention. The official requirements for the gaming show will be in line with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Clark County Nevada guidelines, which state that masks are NOT required if individuals are fully vaccinated. Earlier today, there was an inaccurate news article announcing mandatory mask-wearing at NIGA.

Ernest L. Stevens, Chairman of the Indian Gaming Association, said, “We have made every effort from the very beginning to follow both the CDC Guidelines and the Clark County, Nevada COVID-19 protocols, which are specifically in place for our show. First and foremost, we are always about making sure our attendees have a safe and comfortable environment this year, so if they choose to wear masks as a personal precaution we welcome that choice.”
“The National Indian Gaming Association is looking forward to a safe and productive event and is excited to see all our attendees and are certain that this event will make a major statement that our Indian gaming industry is back and safely open for business.
“We look forward to bringing together Indian Country and our Indian Gaming industry as we set the new normal. Attendees should feel certain that the event will be a safe environment for all the hard work and networking that we anticipate.
The National Indian Gaming Association looks forward to visiting with the national tribal leadership and to once again see our Indian Gaming family on the Tradeshow floor. See you in Las Vegas!
Featured Keynote Presentations:
Wed. July 21 – 8:30 AM. Domestic Extremism/Cybersecurity Panel
This panel will define and explore domestic extremism, helping attendees better understand the historical significance and current growth of domestic extremist risks to tribal communities and enterprises. We will explore strategies to address domestic extremism risks in the tribal gaming environment, as well as deconstruct common misconceptions regarding domestic extremist ideologies and those individuals involved in them.
Tribal governments, hospitality and gaming, have increasingly become targets of cybercriminals intent on shutting down cyber operations, stealing information, exploiting business operations, and disrupting essential services. Ransomware attacks have recently shutdown a number of gaming operations and hold the potential to disrupt others. This panel of experts will discuss and offer response protocols and strategies to prevent, mitigate, and recover from an attack.
Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks. These cyberattacks are usually aimed at accessing, changing, or destroying sensitive information; extorting money from users; or interrupting normal business processes. Implementing effective cybersecurity measures is particularly challenging today because there are more devices than people, and attackers are becoming more innovative.
