Light & Wonder’s faster three-card poker format introduces new side bets and progressive wagering opportunities
Talking Stick Resort has become the first casino to introduce Mini Ultimate Texas Hold’em, expanding its live table games offering with the latest poker title from Light & Wonder.
The game has made its world debut at the resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. It adapts the strategy and core appeal of Ultimate Texas Hold’em into a shorter, faster format designed for the casino floor.
Mini Ultimate Texas Hold’em is played with a standard 52-card deck. Players form their best three-card poker hand using one player card and the available community cards.
Additional wagering opportunities are provided through the Flush Plus side bet, the 3 Card Bonus side bet and a progressive component. These options give players several ways to participate beyond the principal wager.
Jon Hanlin, President of Global Tables at Light & Wonder
“Talking Stick Resort has been a valued Light & Wonder customer, and we’re proud to have them be the first property in the world to bring Mini Ultimate Texas Hold’em to players.
“The property has built a strong table games offering, making it an ideal location to debut this latest addition to our portfolio.”
The launch supports Talking Stick Resort’s strategy of introducing new products and maintaining a varied casino floor. The property is owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
Patricia Tate, President and CEO of Talking Stick Resort
“At Talking Stick Resort, we continually invest in new experiences that reinforce our position as one of the premier gaming destinations in the Southwest.
“Being selected as the world debut location for Mini Ultimate Texas Hold’em reflects the strength of our partnership with Light & Wonder and our commitment to introducing innovative entertainment that keeps our casino floor dynamic and fun for our guests.”
Following its initial debut at Talking Stick Resort, Mini Ultimate Texas Hold’em will also be offered at sister property Casino Arizona in Scottsdale.
The release further expands Light & Wonder’s live table games portfolio with a product designed to deliver quicker rounds while preserving recognisable poker decisions and wagering options.
