JCM Global has upgraded more than 2,300 MotorCity Casino Hotel slots from UBA® bill validators to iVIZION® technology
Casino floor technology upgrades are becoming increasingly important for operators seeking stronger transaction security, faster validation and greater readiness for future currency changes. JCM Global® has completed a major bill validator conversion at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, upgrading more than 2,300 slot machines from UBA® to iVIZION®.
The upgrade makes MotorCity Casino Hotel the latest North American casino property to move its gaming floor to JCM’s iVIZION® bill validator, adding newer validation technology designed to support protection, operational efficiency and player convenience. Industry coverage confirms that JCM converted 2,300 games on the casino floor from UBA® bill validators to iVIZION®.
The conversion is intended to boost security, increase efficiencies and help prepare the casino for upcoming U.S. currency updates. The new iVIZION® cash boxes are compatible with MotorCity’s existing ICB® Intelligent Cash Box system and the advanced ICB ASAP® robotic solution in the casino’s count room.

The deployment builds on a long-standing supplier relationship between JCM Global and MotorCity Casino Hotel. JCM has also previously supported the Detroit property through digital signage, including a large curved LED display installed on the casino’s promenade ceiling in 2019.

The iVIZION® bill validator uses advanced Contact Image Sensor (CIS) technology to enhance security by scanning 75 times more data points than any bill validator in its class and capturing the full image of both sides of a banknote or ticket. JCM’s product information also describes iVIZION® as a validation solution for gaming devices and other automated transaction applications.
For MotorCity Casino Hotel, the upgrade creates a more consistent validation layer across the casino floor while supporting back-of-house efficiency through compatibility with ICB® and ICB ASAP®. For JCM Global, the project reflects continued momentum for iVIZION® across North American casinos, following other recent property-wide conversions at venues including Gun Lake Casino Resort, Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, Mountaineer Casino Resort and Cache Creek Casino Resort.
