Kay Oswald joins Interblock to lead the electronic table gaming supplier’s next phase of global growth
Interblock has appointed Kay Oswald as Chief Executive Officer, giving the electronic table gaming supplier a new global leader as it targets its next stage of growth.
The appointment was made by Interblock’s Board of Directors and concludes a comprehensive search announced in February 2026. Oswald succeeds Bala Ganesan, Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management, who had been serving as interim CEO.
Ganesan will return to his full-time role at Oaktree, where he will continue working closely with Interblock to support a smooth leadership transition. Oaktree-advised investment funds own a majority of the equity interests in Interblock.
Oswald brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience across consumer, hardware and industrial technology businesses. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of KOHPA Technologies, a venture-backed industrial technology company.
He previously served as CEO and Board Member, North America, of Technogym USA Corp., the luxury fitness equipment company. Originally from Germany, Oswald has built much of his career in the United States and has led teams across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Australia.
His background includes global manufacturing, supply chain and premium hardware businesses. Those areas are directly relevant to Interblock as it continues to scale its electronic table gaming products across regulated casino markets.
David Quick, Managing Director at Oaktree and Interblock Board Member
“Kay is a proven global operator with a track record of building disciplined, scalable businesses across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
“Following a rigorous search, the Board is confident Kay is the right leader to build on the world-class operating platform established over the past year and to capitalize on Interblock’s global growth opportunities including expanding our footprint across key regions and accelerating innovation in our product portfolio.”
Oswald said Interblock’s global team, product innovation and operating platform give the company a strong base for future expansion.

He strengthened Interblock’s operating disciplines, leadership bench, and execution across the business, and the Company Kay inherits is stronger than at any point in its history. Ganesan said Oswald’s global experience and operational discipline make him the right leader for the company’s next chapter.

“It has been a privilege to lead Interblock during this important period. Kay’s global experience and operational rigor make him the ideal leader for the Company’s next chapter. I look forward to continuing to support Kay, the leadership team, and our people around the world in my role at Oaktree.”
For Interblock, the appointment comes at a time when electronic table games continue to gain importance on casino floors. Operators are looking for products that support game variety, space efficiency, staffing flexibility and stronger player engagement.
Interblock describes itself as the world’s leading developer and supplier of electronic table gaming products. The company holds 247 licences, operates in 371 jurisdictions and has products installed in 113 countries and 44 U.S. states and territories.
For casino operators, Oswald’s appointment signals a focus on operational execution and scalable product growth. His experience in premium hardware, manufacturing and international business gives Interblock a leadership profile suited to regulated markets where quality, service and reliability matter.
The leadership transition also reinforces Oaktree’s continued involvement with the business. With Ganesan remaining engaged through Oaktree and Oswald taking over as CEO, Interblock is positioning itself for a more structured phase of global expansion and product innovation.
