WCLC selected IGT through its competitive procurement process for a second consecutive year
IGT has secured another major video lottery terminal agreement in Canada, strengthening its position in one of North America’s key VLT markets.
The company announced that its subsidiary, IGT Canada Solutions Limited, has signed an agreement with Western Canada Lottery Corporation to supply 720 additional Sierra27 video lottery terminals across Saskatchewan in 2026.
The agreement marks the second consecutive year that IGT has been selected through WCLC’s competitive VLT procurement process.
For IGT, the deal reinforces its position as a leading VLT supplier in Canada. For WCLC, it adds more modern hardware and Canadian-focused game content to its venue network.
Eric Karmark, Vice President, VLT Gaming & Operations at WCLC
“WCLC selected IGT through a competitive procurement process, and these additional Sierra27 VLTs will support our venue network with hardware and content designed for the Canadian market.
“IGT has been a longstanding supplier to WCLC, and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
The Sierra27 VLT is designed around player comfort, serviceability and a flexible content library. The terminal features two high-definition 27-inch screens, a 13.3-inch dynamic player panel with dual bash buttons, and a wireless inductive charger.
IGT said the Sierra27 is supported by a large library of high-performing content and games created specifically for players in Canada. Titles include Big City 5’s Diamond, Tiki Tiki Tiki Mayhem, Cash Climb Garden of Hesperides and others.
Chad Helm, Vice President of Sales, Canada and Oregon at IGT
“As the leading VLT supplier in Canada, IGT is uniquely positioned to help WCLC enhance venue performance and player experiences with proven products and solutions backed by decades of market experience.
“This significant agreement with WCLC for 720 additional IGT Sierra27 VLTs reinforces the strength of our outstanding collaboration in providing games that excite and engage players.”
The agreement is important because VLT supply is not only about machine replacement. It also shapes venue performance, content refresh cycles and player engagement in regulated lottery-operated environments.
Saskatchewan’s VLT market depends on stable technology, reliable cabinet performance and content tailored to local play preferences. IGT’s continued selection gives WCLC continuity with a known supplier while also adding updated hardware to its network.
The deal also reflects the wider role of lottery corporations in Canada’s gaming structure. In provinces such as Saskatchewan, VLTs remain a major regulated channel, with procurement decisions affecting venues, players, suppliers and government gaming revenue.
For IGT, the award supports its broader Canadian footprint across gaming machines, systems, iGaming, sports betting and financial technology. It also shows the commercial value of long-term supplier relationships in regulated public gaming markets.
The company said its wider business now spans gaming machines, game content and systems, iGaming, sports betting, cash access, loyalty and player engagement solutions, following the combination of IGT’s Gaming and Digital business with Everi.
With the new Saskatchewan deployment, IGT continues to position Sierra27 as a market-ready VLT platform for Canadian operators that need proven content, modern presentation and efficient service support.
