GAT EXPO 2020 – Postponed by Presidential Decree
The Government of Colombia has taken preventive security measures

From 3AProdciones, organizers of Colombia’s GAT EXPO 2020 event, we are in receipt of a press release announcing the deferment of the Colombian event for a new date that will be defined in the coming days.
For reasons of Force Majeure, known to us all, the organization has seen necessary to announce the postponement of Gaming & Technology Week and gaming & Technology Expo.
“We find ourselves at a crucial global stage of health exposure, owing to the contingencies caused by COVID – 19. Therefore, the Government of Colombia has taken preventive security measures, issued by the President of the Republic of Colombia, Dr. Iván Duque Márquez, on the day of March 12, announcing the cancellation of all events of more than 500 people throughout the country and issued Resolution No. 0000380 of March 10 by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
“Following directives of the Colombian National Government and prioritizing the health of exhibitors and visitors, the organizers of GAT EXPO Gaming & Technology Week 2020 have made the decision to postpone the event. In the next 72 hours the new dates will be defined, taking into account the calendar of events of the Cartagena de Indias Convention Centre and the annual schedule of events of the gaming industry.
“On behalf of the 3A Productions team, we appreciate the support received for the realization of GAT EXPO and look forward to continuing to work together with the purpose of successfully producing the event. We regret the inconveniences of various kinds that we know will arise from this postponement. As usual we are always willing to serve and accompany our exhibitors and sponsors, at all times,” said Jose Anibal Aguirre, CEO 3A Producciones.
GAT Expo 2020 organizers have diligently been complying with all stages of marketing, production and logistics, personalized and mass communications, as well as social media promotions and constant support for exhibitors and Sponsors in their requirements, and will continue to do so until the successful realization of the event.
Recent measures taken by the National Government of Colombia to contain the virus include the mandatory 14-day isolation upon entry of international travellers from China, Italy, Spain and France, as issued by Resolution of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection N ° 0000380 of March 10 and the banning of holding events that gather more than 500 people, announced by the President of the Republic of Colombia, Mr. Iván Duque Márquez and the Ministry of Health.
“We want to thank exhibitors of land-based and online gaming, our Sponsors, Clarion Gaming, national authorities, industry associations: Asojuegos, Cornazar, Camazar, Fecoljuegos and Fedelco, specialized media, visiting entrepreneurs, business partners and the Cartagena de Indias Convention Centre, and appreciate your solidarity and support at this unexpected moment”, adds Aguirre.
