Egaming reopens and grows in LatAm
Thewissen: “Increased presence in several markets like Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Mexico and more”
“The Covid crisis affected a lot of our industry, our customers, friends and colleagues but we hope that all walked well thru these bad moments and that we all can keep doing well,” said Urbain Thewissen, Egaming director of sales for Latin America. He added: “During the months of limitations and restricted mobility, e-gaming much improved a their game content, developed stunning new games and increased its presence in several online gaming markets like Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Mexico and more.”
Besides the fact that e-gaming is very successful on various land-based markets, a lot of players already discovered their popular games on the internet, therefore the company reacted very flexibly and at this very moment is in process of obtaining online approvals for several jurisdictions.

Operations were closed for several months, but European gaming markets opened after around 3 months and everything goes step by step more to a normal level. In Latin America it is taking a longer time before starting to reopen, but after several weeks of operation there is a good increase in active players and business keeps in growing every day.
“This crisis has showed us the importance of having good game content for online casinos. Also given that there is unfortunately a real threat of another wave of Covid, which may take even longer time and it is not at all easy to estimate how the whole land based market will be affected, we are constantly developing new games for land based but simultaneously prepare those same games in online versions. But we keep our hopes positive and believe, that even if we face second wave, land-based business will pick up and return back to before Covid-19 level and finds its supporters and players,” said Thewissen.

“We integrated 5 new platforms in the last 6 months and demand for our game content is increasing all the time. Most of our popular land-based games are already present on various online casinos and we continue developing all of our existing games also for the online market. We adapted ourselves quickly to this new situation and as always, we are trying to keep a step forward ahead of our competitors.
“2020 is not what we expected but due to our fast reaction to the actual situation we could control the damages and soon will have a lot of releases of games and more integration of our content worldwide,” concluded Egaming’s LatAm man of action.
