Colby Raha will attempt a world-record motorcycle jump at Caesars Palace on 17 May as OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar opens in Las Vegas
Caesars Palace will celebrate the grand opening of OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar and the resort’s 60th anniversary with a world-record motorcycle jump attempt by Colby Raha on 17 May 2026.
The 12-time X Games medallist and world-record holder will attempt to jump across the Caesars Palace Front Fountains, paying homage to Evel Knievel’s historic 1967 attempt at the same location. The event will be produced by Record Breakers, the live-action sports brand founded by Raha. Caesars’ official announcement confirms the May 17 timing, the connection to OMNIA’s opening weekend and the target of more than 100 feet vertically.
The stunt will form part of the launch weekend for OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar, a new 46,000-square-foot entertainment complex located on Las Vegas Boulevard at Caesars Palace. The venue is being developed in partnership with Tao Group Hospitality and is connected to the existing OMNIA Nightclub by a dedicated bridge, creating a day-to-night entertainment experience across a combined 121,000 square feet.
Jason Strauss, Co-CEO of Tao Group Hospitality, said: “OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar is already setting a new standard for what Las Vegas daylife can be, and there’s no better way to announce that to the world than with Colby Raha launching over the same fountains that made Evel Knievel a legend. This is the kind of moment that only happens in Las Vegas, and only at Caesars Palace. We couldn’t be more proud to kick off a new era with a partner as iconic as Caesars.”
The world-record attempt is scheduled for 2 p.m. on 17 May, when Raha will aim to reach a target height of 100 feet and surpass his current world record for vertical motorcycle performance. Clark County commissioners approved the special event application for the motorcycle jump in April, with local reporting also confirming the May 17 timing at the Caesars Palace fountains.
The jump is designed to be visible above OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar, giving opening weekend guests a direct view of the spectacle from within the venue. The event links modern Las Vegas entertainment with one of the most recognisable moments in stunt history: Evel Knievel’s 1967 attempt to jump the fountains at Caesars Palace.
Sean McBurney, Chief Commercial Officer and Regional President of Caesars Entertainment, said: “Over the last 60 years, Caesars Palace has orchestrated iconic events that have resonated across the globe, cementing the resort’s role as leading player in Las Vegas’ rise to one of the most visited destinations in the world. We’ve continually redefined the luxury experience through intentional enhancements to the resort, and we’re elated to introduce OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar with our tremendous partners at Tao Group Hospitality. This dynamic addition reflects our ongoing commitment to create unforgettable memories for our guests to last another six decades and beyond.”
Members of the Knievel family are supporting the event, reinforcing the historical connection to the site. The Caesars Palace Front Fountains remain strongly associated with the 1967 stunt, which became one of the most widely recognised moments in motorcycle stunt history.
“Attempting a jump at the same location where Evel Knievel made his historic attempt carries real meaning,” said Colby Raha. “It’s an opportunity to push limits at one of the most iconic locations in stunt history at one of the most iconic resorts in Las Vegas.”
The grand opening weekend for OMNIA Dayclub will run from 15 to 17 May and feature a lineup of international music talent. Fisher will open the programme on Friday, 15 May, followed by a rare DJ set from Rüfüs du Sol on Saturday, 16 May. Martin Garrix will close the weekend on Sunday, 17 May, setting the stage for Raha’s record attempt.
OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar combines European-inspired design, next-generation production technology and global entertainment programming. Its launch adds a major new daylife venue to Caesars Palace as the resort enters its 60th year.
