ARGENTINA – Casino Victoria ready to open in Necochea

Company has the intention of getting a “temporary permit” to install approximately 200 slots

Executives and architects from gaming operating company Casino Victoria S.A., toured the Necochea Casino Complex, in Buenos Aires province, where they met representatives of casinos workers association AMS.

Fernando Hansen, AMS secretary general, commented after the tour of workers’ delegates with Casino Victoria executives: “Their main idea was to see the state of deterioration in the Casino since they were there at the end of 2020 and changes up to date. They have the solid idea of refurbishing the casino complex, beyond bidding for operation of slot machines. The company is ready and wants to invest in the property, which we see with good eyes as it would save the casino activity in Necochea.”

In the last week of April, the director of Hippodromes and Casinos of the Province of Buenos Aires, Cristiano Segal, together with the director of Casinos Zone 1, Patricio Grasso, and the Head of Gaming, Jorge Escodopole, visited the Necochea Casino Complex to announce its reopening and the prompt launch of a tender for slot machine operation in the casino.

After the visit of the Victoria Casino businessmen, Hansen expressed with emotion that the company has the intention of being granted a “temporary permit” to install about 200 slot machines and take care of some improvements to be able to open in the short term.

“The reopening of the casino is an opportunity and source of work for the city; it is a necessity to meet the deadlines and start the work that the municipality has to carry out,” said provincial representative Natalia Sánchez Jauregui, a local Necochea politician.
