ADMIRAL Slots recognised as Responsible Gaming Ambassador at INFOPLAY Awards

The NOVOMATIC Spain gaming halls brand was honoured for a long-term responsible gaming campaign built around prevention, training and transparency

Responsible gaming recognition is becoming increasingly important for Spain’s land-based sector, where operators must demonstrate that safer-gambling commitments are embedded in daily operations rather than limited to isolated campaigns. ADMIRAL Slots, the gaming halls operator belonging to NOVOMATIC AG, has been named Responsible Gaming Ambassador at the VIII International Responsible Gaming and Corporate Social Responsibility Awards organised by INFOPLAY.

The award was presented on 30 June 2026 at the Teatro Real de Madrid, following the decision of a jury made up of different industry figures. The category recognises organisations that represent the values of responsible gaming and can act as visible ambassadors for safer, more sustainable industry practice. INFOPLAY confirmed the 2026 edition included ten award categories and returned to the Teatro Real for its charitable gala.

ADMIRAL Slots defended its candidacy by highlighting the responsible gaming campaign shared through ADMIRAL ESG channels this year. Under the slogan “Responsibility is part of the game,” the campaign focused on five foundations: training, compliance and sustainability, prevention and support, innovation, and transparency.

Those pillars reflect an approach that positions responsible gaming as part of the company’s operating model and preventive culture. In practical terms, the campaign links employee training, regulatory compliance, customer information, prevention tools, technology and clear communication into a single responsible-gaming framework.

Earlier communication around the campaign described it as a set of activities built around the slogan “Responsibility is part of the game.” Jaime Estalella, Managing Director of Operations at NOVOMATIC Spain, said the initiative helped show the daily work carried out by the ADMIRAL brand with the aim of creating safe experiences that are consolidated over time.

The award also reinforces ADMIRAL Slots’ public positioning around safer leisure. The operator’s responsible gaming information states that responsible gaming is play carried out with the player’s full awareness and with prevention systems intended to avoid gambling becoming a mental-health or financial problem.

The recognition marks the third consecutive year in which the gaming halls brand has been recognised in different categories at the INFOPLAY awards. In the previous edition, ADMIRAL Group was recognised for an initiative linked to the integration of people with disabilities, demonstrating continuity in the company’s broader social responsibility positioning.

Antonio Fornés, Director of Regulations and Institutional Relations at NOVOMATIC Spain, collected the award during the charity gala and thanked the organisers for the recognition.

Antonio Fornés, Director of Regulations and Institutional Relations at NOVOMATIC Spain, said:

“The work of ADMIRAL Slots is not based solely on a one-off action or corporate communication; it is a daily, structural commitment with years of development, capable of making an impact both internally and externally.”

He added that these characteristics allow the operator to represent values that were recognised by the jury when rewarding the candidacy.

For ADMIRAL Slots, the award provides external validation for a responsible-gaming strategy that combines internal training with customer-facing prevention and communication. For Spain’s gaming halls sector, it also underlines the importance of showing regulators, communities and customers that responsible gaming can be integrated into venue operations, staff culture and long-term business practice.

The broader takeaway is that responsible gaming awards are no longer simply reputational honours. In a market where land-based gaming is closely scrutinised, recognition for structured prevention, transparency and sustainability can help operators demonstrate that consumer protection is part of their operational identity. For ADMIRAL Slots, the Responsible Gaming Ambassador award strengthens that message within both the Spanish sector and the wider NOVOMATIC group framework.
